Saturday, August 27 from 12:00 to 8:00 pm, Greater Greenwood Community Band is hosting EIGHT performances by community bands from across Indiana. That’s nearly 400 musicians taking the stage at the Greenwood Amphitheater. The concert lineup features eight volunteer bands including a military band, a jazz band, and six concert bands with free performances at the top of each hour:
- 12:00 – 38th Infantry Band (Plus flags and colors presented by the Whiteland and Franklin Color Guard)
- 1:00 – Lake Area Community Band
- 2:00 – Bloomington Community Band
- 3:00 – Directors Jazz Orchestra
- 4:00 – Indianapolis Symphonic Band
- 5:00 – Zionsville Concert Band
- 6:00 – West Indy Winds
- 7:00 – Greater Greenwood Community Band
Enjoy hot food from the grill, plus cold drinks and snacks. Free shuttles will be transporting guests and performers between the venue and the parking lots. The amphitheater in Surina Square Park is located behind the fire station on Main Street in downtown Greenwood. The parking lot beside the fire station provides handicap accessibility.
Bring a lawn chair and a friend. Pets on leashes are welcome. Free admission! Tickets are not required. Details available at https://GreenwoodBand.org
