Description
Greater Greenwood Community Band will host a free Children’s Concert at the Surina Park Amphitheater in Greenwood, IN on Sunday, September 24, 2023. Children and the young at heart will enjoy the musical line-up of this concert. Hear music from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, The Muppet Show, Lion King, Avengers, and even Taylor Swift, sparking fun for every age group.
The concert begins at 4:00 pm with a special hands-on demonstration of the instruments shortly after set-up at 3:00.
Children of all ages are encouraged to experience all of the instruments provided in hopes of inspiring a new generation of musicians. Band members will be eager to answer any questions and nurture young talent. This is a free concert open to the public. Free balloon animals and temporary tattoos will be provided.
This event is also an annual salute to music educators. Invite your favorite band directors and music educators to attend and be recognized.
Please bring lawn chairs, blankets, and curiosity for a fun-filled evening with the Greater Greenwood Community Band.
