Our Spring Concert

Greater Greenwood Community Band Presents “Springtime Symphonic Wildflowers” GREENWOOD, IN – Revel in the beauty of spring with the Greater Greenwood Community Band (GGCB) as they present “Springtime Symphonic Wildflowers,” a concert that celebrates the season through music. This vibrant event will take place on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 6:00 PM in the Greenwood High School auditorium. The concert will feature a selection of symphonic pieces that evoke the essence of spring, including “Chorale & Shaker Dance,” “Lincolnshire Posy,” “Esprit De Corps,” “Viva,” “Dusk,” “Enjoy the Ride,” and “Tumblers.” Each piece has been carefully selected to create a musical bouquet as diverse and beautiful as a field of wildflowers. In addition, the Greenwood Community Wind Ensemble will grace the stage with performances of “Fanfare and Flourishes” and “Three Latin Dances,” adding a lively and dynamic flair to the evening. Director Randy Greenwell and the talented musicians of both ensembles are excited to share this special selection of music with the community. As always, the concert is free to attend, and no tickets are required.
