Banks of the Wabash – Terre Haute Community Band Festival
Saturday, July 19, 2014 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Important Points for GGCB members:
- Be there ready to tune up and play at 4:30.
- We will meet in the rehearsal area at the top of the hill near the parking area.
- There will be a secure place for cases, etc.
- Dress is the summer uniform: white GGCB polo shirt and black pants. Please tuck your shirt in and do not wear sandals, flip flops, etc.
- We should not need stands on stage (they are provided), but if you would like your own to use during warm up, please bring it.
- Bottled water will be available, but it would be a good idea to bring your own, just in case.
- Bring sunscreen and bug spray.
- If you have a large instrument or need help with transportation, please flag down a volunteer and they will have golf carts available.
- Portable toilets are near the warm up area, and regular restrooms are closer to the amphitheater.
- Each band member will receive a $6 voucher for the food vendors that will be at the festival.
- Commemorative T-shirts for each performer will be handed out at an upcoming rehearsal.
- Please consider coming early/staying later to see the rest of the festival. Here is the performance schedule for Saturday:

The most direct way to Terre Haute is on 70West. However, there is construction on this route which may cause delays. It should take 1 hour and 30 minutes from Greenwood, but plan for longer due to possible traffic. US 40 West is a good alternate to 70W and can be reached easily from exit #41 (Route 231 N) around Cloverdale. US 40 runs parallel to 70W, about 2 miles north.
To Fairbanks Park from 70W:
Take exit 7 in Terre Haute, US 41 North/3rd Street
Travel North 1.5 miles and turn left onto Oak St.
Follow Oak St to the north entrance of the park and follow instructions for parking.
To Fairbanks Park from US 40 W:
US 40 West will turn into Wabash St in Terre Haute.
Wabash St will end at 3rd St.
Turn Left (South) on 3rd St.
In about 1/4 mile, turn right onto Oak St.
Follow Oak St to the north entrance of the park and follow instructions for parking.
